ManhattanLife is proud to announce that Steve Natelson has joined the organization as Senior Vice President of Individual Sales. Steve began his role with ManhattanLife on February 2, 2026 and brings more than three decades of experience across nearly every facet of insurance distribution and sales leadership.
Steve joins ManhattanLife from Cigna where he most recently served as Vice President of Distribution and Strategy. Prior to that role, he held the position of Vice President, Senior Supplemental Agent Distribution for nearly nine years. Throughout his career, Steve has built deep expertise in brokerage distribution and sales across Medicare-focused products, supplemental health offerings, and individual insurance markets.
Steve was born in St. Louis, raised in South Florida and is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin. Steve grew up immersed in the insurance industry as his parents owned a national marketing organization. That early exposure laid the foundation for a career that has included time in the field as an agent, leadership roles within FMOs and agencies and senior positions on the carrier side.
As Senior Vice President of Individual Sales, Steve will focus on strengthening ManhattanLife’s position as the carrier of choice for agents nationwide across both under-65 and senior markets. Steve shared, “I am incredibly honored and excited to take on this new role at ManhattanLife. My goal is to continue building ManhattanLife as the preferred partner for agents when selling individual products across all markets.”
Steve's appointment reflects ManhattanLife's continued investment in strengthening its individual sales leadership and long-term growth strategy. “We have one of the best, if not the best, individual product portfolios in the industry. It is equally important that we assemble the best sales team that aligns with such a robust portfolio. Steve’s background, distribution experience and proven success in elevating sales teams makes him a natural fit and an important step in accelerating the consistent growth of this product line,” said Todd Hayden, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. “We are well positioned for growth, and I look forward to watching Steve and his team scale the product portfolio.”
Steve’s leadership arrives at a pivotal time as ManhattanLife continues to expand its individual product offerings and distribution footprint. His broad perspective and hands-on experience are expected to further elevate agent relationships and support sustained growth.
Outside of work, Steve enjoys golfing and spending time with his wife and son. Much like his professional approach, he values the continual challenge of improving and learning, both on and off the course.
