Central United Life is changing its name to ManhattanLife Assurance Company of America to better leverage our ManhattanLife brand.
ManhattanLife Assurance, formerly known as Central United Life Insurance Company, started in 1963 as a subsidiary of Central Mutual Insurance but was sold in 1993 and became one of the companies of the Manhattan Life Group. In 2012, Central United Life was listed as a Ward’s Top 50 performing life and health insurer. To make the top 50, an insurer must demonstrate superior performance, including a measured ability to grow and maintain financial stability, over a five-year period. ManhattanLife Assurance provides life insurance, group and individual health and accident benefits, and cancer insurance for today's policyholder.
