Customer Service Associate

Description and Duties:

We are looking for experienced Customer Service Professionals for permanent full-time positions in our office located near Highway 290 and Loop 610.

  • Receive and respond to incoming telephone calls, faxes and e-mails from a range of customers including policyholders, providers, agents, company representatives, attorneys and callers from the state departments of insurance.
  • Provide confidential, quality customer service to our customers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Provide prompt and accurate responses to inquiries about the company's life and health insurance products, including explaining policy language and benefits, and maintaining customer records.
  • Use a variety of computer and data processing applications to provide immediate responses to callers.
  • Utilize knowledge of company products and departmental procedures to advise policyholders of the benefits of maintaining their insurance coverage.
  • Assist with various special projects as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Two years of Customer Service experience in life or health insurance or a recent college degree.
  • Computer literate - demonstrate proficiency in the use of standard PC software.
  • Ability to clearly relate, explain and express complex ideas regarding insurance products. 
  • Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be dependable, flexible and detail oriented.
  • Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision and errors.
  • Have an analytical mind and used skilled judgment.
  • Team player with the ability to work with others.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.
